Thursday, June 9th, 2011made of: sterling silver, copper, enamel, glass beads (contained within)
process: the enameled center piece of the ring was formed with steel tools to create a bumpy, perforated texture and then torch-fired on the front and back side to make the enamel stronger. the interior of the ring holds little teeny tiny glass beads that gently roll around within, creating a soft sound as you move. this is a one-of-a-kind ring.
size: 8
dimensions: the top of the ring is 7/8″ in diameter, and the band is 6mm wide x 2mm thick.

this little reflector had been sitting on my desk for 2 years..not really sure of what it would become. the reflector was given to me by a kind man at a mom and pop hardware store in nebraska city, nebraska. i was there for an artist residency at khn center for the arts in 2007, a truly incredible experience. once he found out that i made jewelry out of found parts/pieces he dumped a whole jar of baubles out that he had been collecting and told me to pick whatever i wanted. i heart nebraska.
